Service operator

forMika, available at https://www.formika.app, is a free service operated by Lorenzo Castiglione, established in Italy. Contact address: support@formika.app.

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use forMika.

Age and capacity

You may use forMika only if you are at least 18 years old and have reached the age of majority under the laws of the country or territory where you live. You also represent that you have the capacity to accept these terms.

If a gathering involves alcoholic beverages or other age-restricted activities, hosts and participants must comply with applicable local laws.

What forMika provides

forMika helps groups create, organize and coordinate gatherings, attendance, menus, quantities, contributions and dietary requirements. The service is currently free and has no subscriptions, purchases or payments.

Each account may retain no more than 15 gatherings in total, including hosted, joined and concluded gatherings. To add another, the user must leave or delete a gathering according to their permissions.

We may introduce paid features or plans in the future, but no charge will be applied without clear advance information and separate express agreement.

Account, profile and gatherings

• You must provide accurate information, keep your password confidential and promptly notify us of unauthorized access.
• Your profile is not public or searchable. Your name and avatar are visible only to people who share a gathering with you.
• Invitations are intended for the selected group: you must not publish or distribute an invitation link beyond the intended recipients.
• A participant may leave a gathering and remove it from their own registry. Only the host may permanently delete it for everyone.

If you delete your account, gatherings you host are also deleted. Deletion may be irreversible; its consequences will be clearly shown before confirmation.

Allergies and dietary requirements

Providing allergies, intolerances and dietary preferences is optional. If you activate this feature, you will be asked for separate, explicit and revocable consent.

You may choose one of these visibility modes:

• Visible with my name: the information appears with your name in the gathering summary.
• In the summary without my name: forMika shows the requirement without identifying which participant provided it.

The second mode does not guarantee absolute anonymity: in small groups, other participants may infer the source. Saved preferences are automatically applied to gatherings you join; you may change or withdraw them from your profile.

In concluded gatherings, dietary requirements may be retained only in genuinely aggregated form, without association with an individual profile.

User responsibilities

You must use dietary information shared by other participants only to organize the gathering and must not disclose it outside the group.

You must not:

• harass, threaten, impersonate or discriminate against others;
• publish unlawful, misleading content or content that infringes others’ rights;
• attempt to access gatherings, accounts or data without authorization;
• interfere with the security, availability or operation of the service;
• use forMika for unauthorized commercial activity, spam or systematic data collection.

AI features

Mika may use AI systems to interpret gathering context and offer suggestions. Quantities and shared commitments remain deterministic and are not autonomously changed by AI.

Use of your dietary requirements in AI features requires separate optional consent. Without it, the information remains available in the gathering summary under your selected visibility, but is not included in context sent to AI providers and the experience may be less personalized.

AI suggestions may be incomplete or inaccurate and must be evaluated by the people involved.

Food safety and liability

forMika only facilitates coordination among participants. It does not verify statements, certify the absence of allergens or replace direct verification with participants, food preparers, venues or other involved parties.

Each participant is responsible for directly verifying that food, ingredients and preparation methods meet their needs. forMika does not provide medical, nutritional or professional advice.

The service is provided with reasonable care and subject to applicable mandatory rights. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Availability, suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary for security, breach of these terms, legal obligations or protection of others, providing notice where permitted.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, but will take reasonable steps to keep the service available, protect data and communicate material interruptions. We may change or discontinue the service; material changes will receive reasonable advance notice and an opportunity to close the account.

Ownership, governing law and contact

forMika, its brand, software and original interface elements belong to the operator or their respective licensors. You retain rights in content you submit and grant forMika only the limited license needed to store it, display it to authorized people and provide the service.

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you act as a consumer, mandatory rights and court jurisdiction granted by the law of your country of residence remain unaffected.
